COMPREHENSIVE ARCHAEOLOGICAL
RESOURCE PLANNING

The OSA is charged with developing and implementing a comprehensive plan for inventory, evaluation, and protection of prehistoric and historic archaeological resources in North Carolina. The "state plan" is a dynamic, long-term project designed to provide efficient management procedures for archaeologists as well as state, federal, and local agency planners who deal with archaeological resources.
