TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

OSA staff archaeologists provide museums, universities, and local government agencies with technical assistance on project planning, contract reviews, grant reports, and protection of archaeological sites. A list of professional archaeological consultants and their qualifications is maintained by the OSA. Copies of the list are distributed upon request, and the list is also available online.

The OSA serves as an important link among local, state, and federal agencies for all aspects of regulatory compliance, public education, and archaeological research in North Carolina.
